Stonehenge, Bath, London

Stonehenge, July 18, 2011

Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!

Stonehenge was cold, windy and wet! -- but still amazing. Some said it just added to the mystic.

Bath - July 18, 2011

The Pig and Lion are symbols of Bath. The local
people made pigs and lions and painted them and sold them for charity. There is only one pig andone lion left, and we were challenged to find them.We found the pig

Walking Tour of London - July 19, 2011

We had about four season in one day - rain, cold, sun, warm and, we walked for miles - from Lamberth Palace in Westminster, across the Thames to Parliament and Westminster Abbey to Saint James Park for a picnic, down the Mal to Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace, back to Churchill War Rooms to Horse Guards Parade and 10 Downing Street, to Leicester Square, to Piccadilly Circus and to Harmarket

Our group was standing under Big Ben at 11 a.m

News Media from all over the world were outside Parliament for the Murdoch hearing in Parliament. We heard that s young man threw a plate of shaving cream in Murdoch's face during the hearing and was told he was "a greedy billionaire."

Media across the street from Parliament and beside Westminster Abbey.

Our city tour guide gave us an hour tour of Westminster Abbey. Before we left we saw a wonderful display of Kate and Williams's wedding photos. As you see below, we saw where "the kiss" took place. Queen Elizabeth was hosting a Garden Tea Party. Guests were arriving decked out in tails, and we saw some pretty interesting hats on the ladies.

Churchill War Rooms

Max and Andrew decided to dress up as Churchill and other members of the War Room

Check out Churchill (Andrew with his cigar).
